On Monday morning I sat down in front of my computer for the first time in three weeks, having just returned from our honeymoon (we went driving around New England; so kind of you to ask). During that time, I intentionally kept away from the web. No email, no RSS, and no Twitter.
Sometimes you only need to be away from Twitter for an hour or two to feel completely separated from the goings-on in the outside world, so after three weeks I’m sure I’ve missed a lot. Or have I? Part of my decision to not check in all the time was to truly distance myself from everything, including some of the more trivial arguments we sometimes get lost in when really there are more important things to think about.
So, as a bit of an experiment — and to assist me as I wade through my RSS subscriptions — I’d love to know: what did I miss?
If any cool apps or products were launched in the last three weeks, please let me know in the comments. Was there an essential debate that shook the tech industry to its very foundations? Let me know. Perhaps a new animal riding on a Segway? I’d definitely like to know about that. And please feel free to use this as an opportunity to pimp any work you might’ve been involved with!
